Today's Primitive Home

I've been working on the "In the Spirit of Friends Show" business this week, but today I am enjoying a snow day with my children. I'm sure I'll be nuts by the end of the day! For now all is well. Things for falling into place for the show. There is an update vendor list now on the show blog of all our verbal commitments. It's very exciting!

In other exciting news one of my rugs was featured on Today's Primitive Home's web site. The link can be found on the left side of this blog. I am so honored. You have to read her hilarious story about her trip to a mountain cabin. I wanted to give a brief description of the rug here. This rug is called Rainbow Cabin by Barbara Carroll of the Woolley Fox. In 2008 Barb taught two one day classes at Ault's Rug Hooking Store, where I work for wool! Carol Rahall & I assisted Barb and the students. While we don't actually take the class, we do take home the projects to do on our own. This is part of Barb's Mini Mini series.

In Barb's Mini Minis, everyone starts with the same pattern and there are plenty of wool choices to be made. You get helpful advice from Barb, your choices are only limited to your own creativity. It is so amazing to stand back and watch all the beautiful color stories unfold. The second pattern I did is called round top hearts, which lives on my coffee table. Both of these patterns are available for purchase at the Woolley Fox website (link to the left.)
